Emily Temple Abels
Founded in 1946, Larmore Scarlett is the oldest, continuously operating law firm in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
Emily joined Larmore Scarlett in 2019 after nearly four years in Philadelphia as a child advocate attorney. Born and raised in Chester County, Emily was eager to join a small firm to be able to live, work, and contribute to the vibrant community in Chester County. She became a lawyer to help families and individuals solve problems, and to advocate for them. Her practice at Larmore Scarlett focuses on estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney for financial and health care, and advance directives. Larmore Scarlett approaches estate planning on a client-by-client basis, with each client having the opportunity to create an estate plan tailored to their specific goals, financial needs, and family structure. While estate planning is a significant focus of Emily's practice area, she also works in business formation and commercial law, business contracts, real estate, land use, and Orphans' Court or probate court litigation focused on estate and guardianship matters.
